I am working on him in stages, then firing to cure the polymer clay then continuing building and working and adapting.

As I had captured the expression exactly as I wanted it, I decided to try firing as a way of stopping myself “over working” the facial details. This hopefully will work and won’t explode during its subsequent firings.
